We collected our free apple of the day and then we decided to venture out on another form of transport. Not by bike or a legs this time, but by boat! What a way to explore this city!
Before we set off on the boat journey we had a delicious, yet odd, breakfast back in Ny Haven. It consisted of the traditional Danish sandwiches of fish and meat.
It wasn’t quite like the Danish pastries but it was lovely to try all the local dishes on one plate. However, I am not quite used to the bread! It was also very nice to listen to various groups of live music as we ate. Although, I am not sure if modern pop, classical music , jazz and opera all go well together when they are merged all together.
We boarded the boat to the sounds of these tunes and set sail around Copenhagen. This consisted of going through some very tight , low bridges. Mind you, even if I stood up I would probably not have bumped my head!
There was also famous landmarks, a sand statue competition, house boats and what looked like a floating bar crawl on kayaks, now there is an interesting combination!
It was then back to dry land and to climb up for one last look at the stunning skyline before we had to fly over it back home.
